STEP UP!
Do what most people will never do

Welcome to week five. This is a make or break week in your attempt to create long term change.
After a month of trying to change habits and going through the discomfort and inconvenience of reading goals every day, implementing regular exercise and a different approach to eating most people will resort back to old habits and give up on their goals.
Why? Because the novelty period wears off, it's a hassle to read goals, exercise takes effort, the weather is too hot or too cold, it's too hard to remember to snack & drink water and life is just far too busy. Basically it is just not fun anymore.
These people will justify their decision to give up and why they are okay as they are. Sure, they are bit overweight, but not as bad as some. Yeah, they are lacking some energy, but they have enough to do what they need to do. It is unfortunate that they get colds and flu regularly, but there are some great medications out there these days.
These people have convinced themselves that they are healthy enough and they niavely think that they will be okay and "It won't happen to them"
The unfortunate reality is that two thirds of Australians die of heart disease and cancer, and more than 100,000 Australians every years are diagnosed with type II diabetes. What is most distressing is that 80% of these people said "I'll be right" and "it won't happen to me" and created their consequences through choices that they made!
No-one would deliberately choose disease, but they actually do choose disease by choosing not to develop good habits in their younger years. The question is when is the best time to make a decision about your health? When you are healthy or when you are faced with disease?
This week offers you an incredible opportunity. It offers you the opportunity to STEP UP and be one of the very few people who will persist, stay focussed on their goals and their action plan beyond the first 4 week honeymoon period. Will you be one of the few who will decide to keep going even though it is not as fun, not as convenient and not as easy as you thought it would be. Will you create a long life of optimal health because you have the vision to do the things now, when you are already healthy, that will ensure that you continue to stay that way?
FOR THOSE READY TO STEP UP, THIS IS FOR YOU!
What follows is a list of positive thinking strategies and actions for you to peruse and implement as you see fit. Choose one one or choose all it doesn't matter - you will benefit from each one that you embrace and employ as a lifetime habit.
For those wanting to STEP UP:
- Change your perspective and get excited about the changes you are making because of where they are leading you. For Example; Don't think of exercise as a drag, get excited because of what it will allow you to do as you get fitter and healthier.
- Focus on your goals and dreams more than ever. Now is the time, as the novelty is wearing off, that you need to be totally committed and sold out to your goals. When you have your WHY firmly entrenched in your mind and your heart there is nothing or nobody that can possibly stop you from creating the health and life that you so richly deserve. Commit to reading them every day.
- Apply Andrew's Simple Wellness Formula - In your heart know that every positive thought you have, decision you make and action you take will add another day of quality living to your life.
For Example; In one day let's say you made the following choices; 1) to read your goals, 2) to eat breakfast, 3) to drink purified water instead of tap water, 4) to take the stairs instead of the lift, 5) to ingnore the negative comments of a cranky work mate, 6) to tell some that you love and appreciate them, 7) to not react to the idiot who nearly cut you off in your car, 8) to eat an apple instead of a muffin, 9) to play tennis with friends instead of going to a smokey bar for a drink and 10) to eat some chocolate and feel grateful (not guilty).
Congratulations you have just added 10 days of dynamic living to your life. It is imporatnt to know that the reverse is also true!
- Plan your week in advance and make sure it includes time to; read your goals, shop and prepare your meals, eat your meals & snacks, exercise, spend quality time with the people you love, enjoy your passionate pursuits and time to relax.
Yes, you are busy, but everyone has 24 hours in a day. The people ready to 'step up' will prioritise their time and make sure the important things take preference.
- Have Gratitude for everyone and everything in your life. Why? Because when you are grateful, you are happy and open to opportunities and you are more likey to make the choices and attract the things that will create a life of health, happiness and harmony. Make a list of all the things you are grateful for then read it again and see how you feel.
