CELEBRATE, REVIEW AND NEXT PHASE

It is week six and it really is time to stop, pat yourself on the back and celebrate.
You may not think that you have done anything significant or anything deserving of celebration, or you may be really proud of yourself for the things you have done. Either way you need to recognise yourself and celebrate the first stage of a journey that will last forever.
'Celebrate - the little things' The cartoon above is cute, but it is what so few people ever do - that is, celebrate the little achievements. It is the small steps, that in the short term don't mean that much, but over the long term will lead to amazing benefits. To help you understand this concept better, have another look at week one and see what happens when small daily/weekly actions are consistently applied over a year and beyond.
Have you, over the last 6 weeks, done anything different such as:
- Made a decison to be healthier?
Written a goal?
- Read that goal?
- Looked at pictures of how you want to look or what you want to do?
- Started a journal?
- Written consistently in the journal?
- Bought a pedometer?
- Worn the pedometer?
- Increased the number of daily steps you take?
- Done over 10,000 steps per day
- Spent more time with people you love?
- Spent more time doing things for you?
- Eaten breakfast?
- Drank more water?
- Eaten more fruit and/or vegetables?
- Eaten more fish?
- Grazed on healthy snacks throughout the day?
- Taken a multi vitamin/mineral and omega 3 supplement?
- Laughed more?
- Lost some fat?
- Taken up a sport or started a new exercise regime?
- Been consistent?
- Given up smoking?
- etc.
This is a long list, but have you just done one thing on this list, or maybe something else that isn't on the list? If so CELEBRATE!! That one thing, if consistently applied in your life will add quality time to your life. Well done champion!
Do you remember the simple wellness formula mentioned in week 5? A very difficult formula for Andrew to calculate (see below), but the results are predictable.

Andrew's Wellness Formula - Every positive decision you make, thought you have or action you take will add one day of quality living to the end of your life.
CELEBRATE THE SMALL SUCCESSES!
REVIEW:
The next step is to stop and review what you have done, evaluate and modify the plan if necessary.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Are my goals still as important to me as they were when I started knowing now what it takes to create long term change?
- Have I achieved my 6 week goals?
- Was I consistent over the last 6 weeks?
- Are the changes I have made maintainable?
- Do I feel better?
- Do I look better?
- Have I enjoyed the last six weeks, or at least the benefits?
- What did I enjoy and can now add to my new daily habits?
- What didn't I enjoy and can I find an alternative for?
- Am I willing to do what most people will never do to achieve what most people never will?
Once you have answered these questions and developed a new game plan you are then ready to move on to the next phase.
This review stage may need to include someone who can help you to put things into perspective and help you to see all the great stuff you have done. But also to help you make decisions about the best next steps.
THE NEXT PHASE
So, what is next? Well that depends on you.
Here are some ideas of what your next phase may entail. This will depend on your level of success in the first six weeks and your levels of motivation to create even more:
- You may need to go back and repeat the whole six week process again, right from the goal setting process.
- Pick a couple of new things that you want to focus on for the next 6 weeks and develop some more positive habits.
- Re-write your goals or set some new ones.
- Seek some professional help to develop a more structured plan if that is where you are at.
- Join a gym, get a trainer, join a running or triathlon club.
- Purchase, read and live 'Eat Chocolate, Drink Alcohol and be Lean & Healthy'. Click here to buy book.
- Start reading some books about achievement.
- Keep going
- Keep going
- Keep going
- Dance until it rains
